Wow. What an amazing evening we have had. Everyone was so welcoming, passionate and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the eclipse and using everyone’s equipment to view it safely. Thank you to everyone who made this event accessible to us all.

Love this place. Only £3.00 to sit and listen to an astrology proffessor, and then at 9.30pm you can go star spotting in the observatory, easy to park.
There is a nice bar there with a friendly owner. So all in all met some very intelligent people and came away very impressed.

Open night on the last Friday of the month. Friendly members are happy to talk and answer questions as well as let people observe various deep sky and planetary objects using both the 20" scope in the dome and several other portable telescope they can deeply weather permitting.

I went along on one of there open evenings.
They are very happy to help setup telescope and explain about equatorial mounts etc, if you're new to astronomy.

Went there as found a sky map, which classified this spot as milky way grade which means a Mway could be seen with naked eye. Unfortunately, could not bee seen even with astrophotography as to many light pollution in the area. I hope to visit observatory itself once it is opened

Fantastic visit to their Observatory Open evening. Friendly Knowledgeable members. Hands on approach to the evening
