It is with great sadness that we have to report the sudden and unexpected death of Gordon. On the morning of Monday 18th July 2011 he had been out on a ramble, and after his return home, he had a massive brain haemorrhage. He died in hospital the following day.
Gordon was a very active member of the Society. He represented us on the Great Ellingham Recreational Committee, and was a committee member and a valued member of the astrophotography group. He was about to take over in opening up the observatory on a Tuesday night.
He was a good friend to all of us; his considered approach to problems and his good advice were always welcome.
We will miss his dry sense of humour and his company on a Tuesday night.
